Updating Custom Packaging Without Changing Kit Contents
Buyer brief
A brand wants to refresh the visual design of its packaging while retaining the existing product configuration. The proposed change record separates artwork revisions from the unchanged contents specification.
Proposed approach
- Identify the current approved SKU and list the graphics or wording that will change.
- Check that the new design preserves accurate quantities, dimensions and included-item statements.
- Approve the revised proof and confirm how old and new packaging versions will be identified in the order records.
Approval and review
Do not describe the product itself as changed unless its specification has also changed. Confirm any impact on packing materials, costs or schedule before authorizing the new artwork.
